Make A Joyful Noise!

This morning I woke up really tired and honestly dreading starting my day. I told the Lord how much I did not want to get ready, clean out the dishwasher, put the clothes in the dryer, get the two older kids up, feed them, get them ready, and rush out the door to school, & then come home & do it all over again with the 2 little ones on top of tackling my daily chores and housework. But I got ready, came upstairs, read, prayed, put clothes in the dryer, fixed breakfast, woke up the kids, and got them ready. All the while listening to one complaint & whine after another. Then I rushed out the door to school and felt awful about all the complaining that had just taken place. After I dropped off my grumpy babies at the school house I remembered my conversation with the Lord at 6am and realized that if I desire my children to wake up with some good things to say & a good attitude, how much more does my Heavenly Father desire the same from me. Sometimes we get tired & we get burnt out from doing the same things over & over, but our Heavenly Father loves us & loves communing with us & we must remember, that like us, He also enjoys a JOYFUL noise.  Psalms 95: 2 Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms. So when we’re not so pleased with the kinds of noises our children make, let us examine what our father hears from us.  Theresa Arwood 1/ 29 /09
